Whether you want to optimize your Google Adwords campaigns or just improve your SEO with optimally placed keywords, you should investigate the strength of many keywords. Many people use 1 tool to evaluate keywords. That is a mistake! You should not only use multiple tools, but you should also compare the results of each. Here are a few tools to get you going:

Wordtracker has a really good tool as well. You can use if for a limited free trial that does not have nearly all the tools. Subscriptions which can be anywhere from daily to yearly are well worth it.
Very good advice to compare results though.

I haven’t used any paid kw research tools yet. I’ve only been using Google AdWords for a little over a week now and am still learning how to optimize my ads. Once I get better at AdWords, I will consider other keyword tools.
